We make consigning easy, and we're always looking for quality pieces that fit our boutique's current seasonal collection.

Consignments are accepted by appointment only.

Please call (708) 798-1455 to schedule your appointment. Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and select Saturdays.

What We're Looking For

We accept current, gently worn fashions that are in excellent condition, including:

• Designer and contemporary brands
• Better department store labels
• Upscale boutique merchandise
• Clothing in all sizes
• Handbags and accessories
• Shoes
• Coats, leather goods, and furs

Because we curate our inventory seasonally, we accept items that align with the current season and style trends.

Preparing Your Items

To give your items the best chance of selling, please ensure they are:

• Freshly cleaned and pressed
• No more than 2–3 years old
• Current in style
• Free of stains, tears, odors, and visible wear
• Presented on hangers
• Complete with all buttons and closures

Shoes should be in near-new condition with minimal wear and no noticeable scuffing.

What Happens Next?

When your items are accepted, you'll receive a drop-off receipt. We will also provide a detailed computer-generated inventory listing showing your items and their pricing information.

Accepted merchandise is typically placed on the sales floor within 30 days. If you'd like an updated inventory report once your items are displayed, we're happy to provide one upon request.

Consignment Terms

Standard consignments remain in the boutique for 90 days.

Consignors receive 40% of the final selling price of sold items.

Fur consignments remain for 90 days, with pricing established jointly between Her Closet Finds, Ltd. and the consignor.

Payments & Pricing

Payments are issued within two weeks after your consignment period ends.

Checks must be picked up by the consignor. Pricing and markdown decisions are made by Her Closet Finds to help maximize selling opportunities.

Balances under $10 will be donated to charity, and a donation receipt will be provided for your records.

Please note that checks not cashed within 12 months become void.

Unsold Items

At the end of your consignment period, any unsold items may be picked up or donated to a local charity.

If items are donated, you'll receive an itemized donation receipt that may be used for tax purposes.

Insurance & Ownership

Ownership of consigned items remains with the consignor until the items are sold. For this reason, consignors should maintain appropriate insurance coverage on their items while they are on consignment.

While Her Closet Finds, Ltd. takes every reasonable precaution to care for and protect consigned merchandise, we cannot be responsible for loss or damage due to fire, theft, accident, vandalism, or other unforeseen circumstances.
